Thea Klapwald

Social Media Manager

Born and bred in New York, Thea graduated from the prestigious Gallatin School at New York University where she learned to foster her love of all things entrepreneurial. After school, she quickly parlayed her natural curiousity, enthusiasm and passion for travel into a profession: journalism. Her beats extended into politics, real estate, business, food and wine, the arts and entertainment, as well as travel writing. Her travels brought her to Hong Kong where she worked for Rupert Murdoch’s newspaper The South China Morning Post covering the booming Chinese film scene. After five years she returned to the States, and chose to live in the vibrant city of Los Angeles due to its compelling intersection of entertainment, technology and the arts. A mecca for artistic talent, Los Angeles has provided Thea with a wealth of subjects for her writing and marketing talents. Through her boutique company Brain Ink she embraced Social Media, Writing for the Web, and Content Strategy. She worked with high-profile clients in consumer goods like design legend Eva Zeisel on product strategy development and reach. Thea's website AwkwardTravelsWithThea.com continues to document her humorous take on travel, parenthood, and Los Angeles.
