French Director Muriel Lacalmontie expertly captures quiet, human moments in a remarkably cinematic package. She specializes in beauty, and it has never been better showcased than in a Lacalmontie spot. Helming global campaigns for the likes of Dove, Nivea, RoC, Carefree, Garnier, Dior, Danone, and L'Occitane en Provence, the director has long-term collaborations with such top agencies as Leo Burnett and Draft/FCB. She's also an accomplished photographer and has directed award-winning short films, music videos, and documentaries.
After studying painting, design, sculpture and engraving at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, she went on to study cinema at the Ecole Superieure d'Etudes Cinematographiques de Paris and graduated with distinction. Post graduation, Muriel cut her filmmaking teeth by collaborating with such regarded French directors as Dominique Issermann on projects for Yves St. Laurent, Dior, and Chanel, and Sarah Moon for Sonia Rykiel and Cacharel.
Lacalmontie's short films, "Spring in Tien Anmen" and "Triptyque 0.01.02," went on to win awards at CNC (Centre National de la Cinématographie) and were released in theaters throughout France. She is currently developing her first feature film, "One One Two."
